This privacy policy explains how MAROVT proizvodno podjetje d.o.o. collects, uses and protects the personal data of visitors to the website www.marovt.com and of individuals who contact us. We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2, Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 163/22).

2. What data we collect

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to achieve a specific purpose. We may collect the following categories of data:

  • Contact form data: your name and surname or company name, e-mail address, subject and content of your message.
  • Data from communication with us: information you provide by e-mail or telephone (e.g. contact details, content of your enquiry).
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, language settings, pages visited, date and time of visit and similar data automatically recorded by the server and analytics tools (see the cookies section).

The website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal data of persons under the age of 16.

4. Contact form and enquiries

A contact form is available on the website for submitting enquiries. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required in order to process your message. We use the data you enter solely to handle and respond to your enquiry and for any subsequent business cooperation.

The legal basis for processing is the implementation of measures taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to the enquiry received (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing the data is voluntary, but without it we cannot process your message.

Before submitting the form, we ask you to confirm that you have read this privacy policy. We do not use the data from the form for direct marketing without your separate consent.

5. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the website. The use of non-essential cookies is based on consent in accordance with the Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-2) and the GDPR. We use strictly necessary cookies that enable the site to function and – with your consent – analytics cookies to measure traffic.

On your first visit, a cookie banner informs you about the use of cookies. Analytics and other non-essential cookies are only loaded after you give your consent. You may withdraw your consent or change your cookie settings at any time, and you may also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

For analytics we use Google Analytics 4 provided by Google. Data is processed in a way that allows measurement of site usage; IP addresses are truncated or anonymised where the tool allows. More about Google’s data processing: policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Recipients and data processors

We do not sell personal data. Only authorised persons of the controller have access to it. We may share data with the following categories of recipients acting as data processors or independent controllers:

  • the web hosting and website maintenance provider;
  • analytics service providers (Google, Webtraxs);
  • the social content embedding provider (Tagembed);
  • the e-mail service provider;
  • external accounting, legal and IT providers where necessary;
  • state authorities where required by law.

We have concluded appropriate data processing agreements with our processors in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

7. Transfers to third countries

Some of our service providers (e.g. Google, Webtraxs, Tagembed) may also process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. In such cases the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider’s participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

After the retention period expires, we delete or anonymise the personal data.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR (Articles 15–22) and ZVOP-2, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • the right of access to your personal data;
  • the right to rectification of inaccurate data;
  • the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”);
  • the right to restriction of processing;
  • the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • the right to data portability;
  • the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand).

To exercise your rights, please write to info@marovt.com. We will respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.

10. Video surveillance

Video surveillance is carried out on the company premises for the purpose of protecting people and property and controlling entry and exit, in accordance with Articles 76 to 78 of ZVOP-2.

  • Legal basis: Articles 76 to 78 of ZVOP-2.
  • Recipients of recordings: the controller and other users designated by law.
  • Transfers and decision-making: recordings are not transferred to third countries; no profiling or automated decision-making is carried out.
  • Retention: recordings are kept in accordance with the internal rules, for a maximum of 3 months.
  • Rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability — at info@marovt.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.

11. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure (Art. 32 GDPR). The website uses an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS).

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time due to changes in legislation or the way the website operates. The current version is published on this page with the date of the last update.
